Free flu shots for uninsured individuals

Free flu vaccinations will be administered during this walk-in clinic on Tuesday Dec 8 from 4-7pm for individuals who do not have health insurance. No appointment necessary; first-come first-serve.

Free Healthy Cooking Class

 

The community is invited to join us for this class focused on making healthy slow cooker meals.  Participants will get to help prepare a crockpot meal, sample the end result, and leave with recipes for easy and affordable crockpot meals. 

Healthy snacks will be provided.   Participants will also have the chance to win a free crock-pot that evening.

Community Garden Cleanup Day

Mark your calendar – LOTS of volunteers needed! Our big Garden Cleanup Day is scheduled for Friday, April 12, throughout the day from 9am-3pm…no green thumb necessary! We need approximately 10-20 volunteers to come help us turn our soil, amend it with compost and fertilizer, rebuild planting boxes, and other garden tasks. Please contact volunteer@thefreeclinics.org if you would like to help for any part of the day. Many hands make light work!

Fall Wellness Fair: Free Flu Shots, Health Screenings & Voter Registration!

 

Free flu shots will be available at The Free Clinics on October 8 from 2:00-5:00pm, courtesy of Walgreens. Nurses will also provide free blood sugar and blood pressure screenings. Additionally, WNCAP will be on site to provide Hepatitis C and HIV screenings, and the League of Women Voters will be registering voters. 

Spring into Wellness! Free Health Screenings & Used Bike Collection

Free health screenings: AdventHealth will be conducting lipids and BMI screenings. WNCAP will provide HIV & HepC screenings, and The Free Clinics nurses will provide blood glucose and blood pressure tests. 

We will also be hosting a used bike collection for our Bikes 4 Life program.

Free Flu Shots!

40 free flu shot vouchers will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis, courtesy of our community partners Americares and Walgreens. Nurses will also provide free blood sugar and blood pressure screenings.
