Assisting children who are visually or hearing impaired
In 2007, Mrs. Ruth Knight created an endowment at the Community Foundation of Henderson County to provide financial assistance for children in financial need who are visually or hearing impaired. Mrs. Knight chose TFC as the recipient organization to manage and disburse the funds for services for children in need through our case management program.
TFC works closely with school health nurses to take referrals for low-income children with visual or hearing impairments and works with local practices to meet those needs.
